kage
is an under-rated (at least, in my opinion it's under-rated...) game for
the Playstation 2. While its relative unpopularity is understandable
given its flaws in game play (those flaws being that for the most part
the game play is often lackluster to the point of sucking), I still think
it deserved a better fan reception than it got. Thus, I made this
page to hopefully explain why I love this game, why perhaps you should
try it. Additionally, if you have tried it and have given up in frustration,
then you could still read the story here if you were regardless curious
about the plotline. Lastly, this is simply a page to show my geeky
fandom for a game whose characters and story I have fallen hopelessly in
love with.
You won't find much in the
way of hints or tips here; probably I'll dicuss Boss battles in the chapter
summaries, but for the most part this is the wrong place to find a FAQ
or a walkthrough. If you want that, head
here, but really, Okage is a very easy game (good for my self-esteem).
It's not the difficulty that seems to frustrate players, it's the massive
tedium of battles and the dungeons, which despite being laid out somewhat
differently each time all look relatively the same. Okage is honestly
a game to be played for its characters and story, and if you're looking
for a fresh entry along those lines then there's a good chance you'll enjoy
it, because it really is not frustratingly difficult.
