sailor mana? mana senshi?
where the hell did you get that, lyn?
This story is kind of a
crossover between Sailor Moon and the game Secret
of Mana, in the sense that I'm using ideas from the game--not neccessarily
characters, or even setting it on the same world. These ideas being
the Elementals and the ideas about Mana, which, just in case you don't
know, is kind of like "the force" from Star Wars (which, in turn, is like
the Dao from Daoism. =P). It's an energy that exists in all things,
that keeps the planet alive and vibrant, and without it, everything would
be annihilated. There are eight Elementals, but I'm leaving out one
for reasons explained in origins.
However, seeing as how the
Elementals are obviously not planets, instead of Princesses, the girls
were once High Priestesses of their particular Element (Kaitlyn, of course,
being of Mana). All of them were members of the Mana Tribe, and that
blood still flows through them today.
did you do this just to torture random
websurfers?
No, amazingly enough, I
did not. I did this because I've always wanted to write a Sailor
Moon fanfiction, and then I got around, looking at all these otaku sailor
senshi sites, and I thought to myself, "Hey... I can do that," so I did.
However, this story is (if you can't already tell) written in half seriousness
and half mockery, because I wanted to poke fun at some of the things I
see in most otaku Sailor Senshi stories, and I just want to have a little
fun.
what's with umi, fuu and hikaru?
Umi... poor thing, he's
the big joke of the series. He is Kaitlyn's guardian telepathic fish,
made so in an attempt to poke fun at the multitudes of guardian cats that
seem to be in great abundance lately. Umi (for those that don't know)
is Japanese for "sea," and his real name, Jigoku, is Japanese for "hell."
And for those of you that might just possibly be wondering... no, Umi does
not stay a fish forever.
As some may be able to guess,
the three are my little tribute to my other favorite Magical Girl anime,
Magic Knight Rayearth. ^_^ (though you will notice that, excepting Hikaru,
they are all male in this. =P)
why does kaitlyn look
so much like sailorneptune?
I assure you that the resemblance
was completely unintentional... Kaitlyn was originally supposed to
have long hair (as in, goes all the way down past her bottom long), but
my friend who drew Kaitlyn's first picture drew her with short hair, so
it kind of stuck. I wanted green hair because green is the color
of trees and things, and I wanted blue eyes because blue was the color
of water.
where're the other senshi, huh?
I finally decided to keep
the Mana Senshi in Vinton, and the series starts right after the fall of
the Dark Kingdom. They might meet the original senshi sometime during
the series (hey, this is Vinton we're talking about here..), but they most
likely will not play a major role in the story because I really really
suck at characterizing other people's creations.
so what, does that mean your characters
are more powerful than sailormoon?
Nononononoooo. Never.
Sailormoon will always be the strongest senshi in my book--she's just not
in this story. ^_^;
why is etienne such a dork?
If you really want to know,
look at origins,
but it'll be a spoiler... ^_^
goddammit! your writing sucks!
take it down!
And cease my torture of
you? Now why would I want to do that?
can i draw a picture for you? ^^
(okay, this is a really
hypothetically asked question.. ;P) Yes, yes, plleaase do, if you wish
it so. ^^ Drawings of anything--the girls in any of their forms, the bad
guys, Umi (or maybe his human form, Jigoku ^^), Fuu, Hikaru, the swords,
the henshins, etc... anything. I lurve lurve artist's interpretations.
It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside when someone sends me a drawing
they did of one of my characters.. heh, okay, I'll stop now. =P
umm, uh... i, like.. can't think of
anything else to say, heh. -_-
Well, allright then!
I think I've about covered everything.. if there's summat I've missed,
feel free to email me and slap me around
with a wet trout for it. ^^;
