Pretty pretty poetry~
her eyes
Here I stand on the brink
of the world
Looking down into the pits
of the apocalypse
And whose shining aqua eyes
stare back at me
But yours
You hover in the nothing
Of the end of the world
Your angel wings stretch
way back
Into oblivion
And you hold out your hand
to me...
Do I accept?

his eyes
Here I stand
In the nothing at the end
of the world
Offering you this chance
Holding my life out to you,
Cupped in my hand
You shy away
Turn back to the earth you
once knew
But nothing remains
But dust.
So now I offer you
The only choice
Me
Or the empty hole that remains
From the apocalypse.

To Sean
Secure
in your insanity,
a broken mind protecting
a broken past.
You've made yourself strong
enough to protect your mother.
Two down,
third time's the charm
And this time you're charmed.
Winged, destined,
and out of your head.
Chosen your stand,
chosen your mother,
stuttering comfort and familiar
name.
You can lead the minions
and poodles,
set fires and play God,
but every time you look
in the mirror
you see him overtaking you.
Your father in your face,
and your father's mark on
your face.
How can you be expected
to make peace with your
parents
when one's dead
and one's deadly?
You needn't play Oedipus.
Just keeps your wits and
your dreams
and your wings.
And be careful.
