Zaphikiel is one of my favorite angels. ^^; He bears a strong resemblance to Xenogears' Shitan, excepting that he's blind and stuff... he's normally a very 'genki' sort of person, hiding seriousness until the situation becomes very dire.  Raziel looks up to him as a father figure, and the two of them share a very close, cute relationship. ^_^ Especially since Raziel always seem to panic about everything. ^^;; At any rate, Zaphikiel is usually at odds with both Sevotharte and Rociel, despite enjoying a high place in the angel hierarchy.  He has a very funky past which I won't talk about for spoiler's sake, but overall he's probably the most humane of all the (adult) Angels.  When Sara is killed, her soul goes to Heaven and he's the one that intercepts it--to protect her from the scientists that would poke at a soul whose body is down in hell. ^^;
